I've been in the Pacifica School District for fifteen years. This is my eighthyear at Vallemar Elementary and I feel extremely fortunate to be here. I greatly enjoy working with the amazing staff and the lovely students and their families!! I was born and raised here in Pacifica and feel lucky to call this great little town HOME. I am fortunate that a large part of my family continues to reside in Pacifica as well. I received my Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Credential from San Francisco State University and began working in my hometown as soon as I graduated. My husband is also born and raised in Pacifica and we'll be married for 14 years this October. I am a proud mother of two! My daughter Sydney and son Ethan are current students at Vallemar. It is great having them with me here at our wonderful school. When I'm not at work I like to spend time with my husband and children. I also enjoy going for walks, seeing movies, reading, and chatting with friends over a good cup of coffee!! I am also a fan of weekend getaways and vacationing. Some or the more recent trips I've made have been to Hawaii, New York, Mexico, and Las Vegas. Very different places... all great fun!
I was born in San Francisco and grew up in Daly City. I attended U.S.F. and received my teaching credential from S.F.S.U. I moved to beautiful Pacifica in 1984. I have been teaching at Vallemar School for 14 years. I have been married 25 years and have three wonderful daughters. My daughters attended Vallemar School along with my nieces and nephews! My oldest has her Masters in Educational Public Policy. My middle daughter is in her fourth year at U.C. Davis majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. My youngest is a freshman at UC Davis, interested in geology, anthropology,and archaeology. We have a four-year-old mixed lab named Ella. I enjoy hiking, jogging,going to the beach, and walking my dog. I love Lake Tahoe, reading, and being with my family. My favorite teams are the S.F. Giants, Cal Bears, and the T.N. Tigers. I work with a fun, talented, creative, and compassionate group of educators. We very much enjoy teaching at Vallemar School.
I was raised in Sonora and now live in Pacifica with my husband, Dave, and two daughters, Mallory and Abby. I graduated with my degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State and started my career in teaching. This is my fourth year in the Pacifica School District and I am happy to be able to see my daughters raised in Pacifica Schools. My youngest daughter will be in second grade this year! I have taught six years of 3rd grade and this will be the second time I have taught a 2/3 combination. Our family enjoys camping, traveling, hiking, and playing with our lovable dog, Teddy. I am very excited to join the second grade team this year!
