Vallemar School is a public K-8 magnet school located in the Vallemar District of Pacifica. Its 520 students excel in academics, which is the focus of the program.The average Vallemar student scores better than three quarters of the students in the nation. We rank 19 out of 132 schools in San Mateo and we are a California Distinguished School, an overall honor achieved by only 5% of the schools in the state.

We have an API score in the top 10% in the state. Our curriculum is challenging with lots of homework and can be thought of as a "college prep" elementary school.

In addition to our focus on academics, the curriculum is enriched by courses taught by professional artists and musicians, specialists in computers and PE and there are extracurricular activities such as piano, Spanish, yearbook, science club and homework center. 

We have a family oriented campus with lots of parent participation. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) raises about $70,000 per year which is put back into the school program. Vallemar is a popular school and there is a waiting list to get into most grades.
